Recycled aramid

Technical Fibres: Recycled aramid

Procotex Corporation, and its daughter company Apply Carbon (FR), is a leading manufacturer of sustainable para-aramid fibres for the friction, gasket, chemical, textile and compounding industry. Thanks to the acquisition of Herzog A.G. (CH) in 2018, we inherited many years of technological experience in the processing/milling of recycled para-aramid. We offer a wide range of para-aramid fibres in different forms (fibres, dry-milled, granulates, powder) with nearly the same quality properties as virgin grades, but at prices that are up to 30-50% cheaper than virgin grades. Procotex/Apply Carbon products are preferred because of the excellent price-performance ratio.
Procotex Corporation can also cut rovings or yarns to precision lengths (250 µm – 120 mm). This in the context of highly technical applications such as for instance in compounding, injection moulding or thermoset applications. We can also work on commission in precision cutting of aramid fibres.

Dry-milled para-aramid fibres

Thanks to the acquisition of Herzog A.G. (CH) in 2018, we inherited many years of technological experience in the processing/milling of recycled para-aramids.
Application: friction for brake pads, linings, gaskets, coatings, and composites.
Special neoprene grade for rubber applications.
Large range of tailor-made grades.

Dry-milled para-aramid fibres

Para-aramid granulates

For easy dosing and better dispersion.
Ideal for compounding applications.
Increase of mechanical reinforcement – tribology – wear resistance.
Extra sizing on the fibres to increase the adhesion to the matrix.

Para-aramid granulates

Precision chopped para-aramid fibres

Toll chopping & processing.
Fibre length: 0.25mm to 100 mm and longer.

Precision chopped para-aramid fibres

Pulled para-aramid fibres

Pulled fibres: for spinning and non-woven applications.
