Sustainability

Procotex is sustainability

The future economy is circular

The products of Procotex are, from its origin, sustainable proven. Which fibre can be more sustainable than flax? A European local natural fibre: zero irrigation, zero ogm, source of carbone, zero waste, thermoregulating, light, bio degradable, generates biodiversity through rotation. Flax is the most ecological fibre existing. On the other side, by recycling other natural fibres, synthetic and technical fibres we are saving a huge amount of precious resources and energy consumption. Procotex is recycling post production as well as post consumer waste. Procotex emphasizes employee engagement because engaged employees tend to be more productive and loyal which is a valuable asset of our company.

Sustainable manufacturing requires an ongoing process of improvement, a process which we continue to pursue in the next years. The investment of a total 2 MW photovoltaic electricity power station on the site of Dottignies (B) in 2017 and in Linolitas (LT) in 2021 delivers one third of its energy consumption and helps to increase the sustainable philosophy of the group.
As the European Union proposing an effective ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2035, Procotex is speeding up the switch to zero-emission electric vehicles (EVs) as part of a broad package of measures to combat global warming.

Procotex is participating in several official programs and certificates which are encouraging sustainability and traceability of its products with an emphasis on environmentally friendly.
